Quick tips to improve your bench

Hey Guys and Gals,

As I finish the first week of my second Smolov JR cycle. I wanted to talk about an overlooked part of the bench, and that is LEG DRIVE! To get all that you can out of the bench press you are going to have to incorporate Leg Drive.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1️⃣Take the bar out and tighten your quads
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2️⃣Bring the bar down tighten your quads as it goes to your chest
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3️⃣Then when you’re ready to push that’s when you want to flare the rest of your legs towards the bar
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Put another way: Taking the bar down with tight quads, when you’re ready to throw it up that’s when you’re really going to fire your legs towards the bar.

This helps you use leg power and chest power to really lock out your bench.
